Pass STPM (or equivalent) with Full Pass two (2) subjects including Maths AND PASS Maths, Bahasa Melayu and English at SPM AND additional eligible Pass * English. OR PASS Matriculation (or equivalent) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and Pass Mathematics, Bahasa Melayu and English at SPM AND additional eligible Pass * English. OR PASS Diploma in Information Technology related field / Computing from Educational Institutions Colleges with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and have to meet additional requirements * English Pass (only for Diplomas are not conducted in English). OR PASS Diploma in a related field of Information Technology / Computing is recognized by the Malaysian Government with a minimum CGPA of 2:50 AND additional eligible Pass * English (only for the Diploma not conducted in English). PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION:
The programme is a collaboration autonomous franchise programmeme between Kolej Poly-Tech MARA and Coventry University, United Kingdom. The programme covers traditional areas of computer science such as programmeming, software engineering, database systems, networking and systems architecture as well as taking in the latest developments and progress that has been made in the field. It also covers theoritical aspects of computer science to a greater depth than the other routes. The programme features a unique structure that includes Add+Vantage modules which not only interesting and worthwhile, but also will enhance employability prospects of the students. Students are required to fulfill the Honours degree requirement before graduation and the degree will be awarded by Coventry University, UK. Specialisms represented by the awards are graduates holding this award will have a cleary targeted and developed set of skills in computer science. Graduates can expect to find job as a business analyst, e-marketing manager, systems analyst, business account manager, database administrator or IT systems manager. Student’s skills in logical thinking, problem solving and IT systems application also equip them for a more general business career in marketing, finance, personnel management, and production and operations management.
